I am pleased to be here with you in Stockholm today. I am especially pleased to see so many Yemeni friends here.

I welcome the agreement by the Government of Yemen and the Houthis to renew the truce in Yemen for an additional two months under the same terms as the original agreement.

Mr. President,
The parties to the conflict in Yemen are pursuing a futile and cruel military conflict, which is eroding the path to peace. At the same time, the people of Yemen are suffering from an entirely man-made humanitarian catastrophe.
Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix and Under-Secretary-General for Field Support, Mr. Atul Khare, talk to us about sexual exploitation and abuse by our personnel.

Cairo - The UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, concluded a visit to Cairo today, where he met with Egyptian, Yemeni and regional figures.
The situation in Yemen remains extremely grave. The intensity of the conflict increases day after day and the tragic humanitarian situation continues to worsen.
