Preparations are currently underway for Yemeni-Yemeni peace talks, to be held under the auspices of the United Nations in Kuwait starting 18 April.
The United Nations Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed announced today that peace talks for Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations will resume on 18 April in Kuwait.

Thank you for this opportunity to brief the Security Council once again on the latest developments in Yemen.
New York, 15 December 2015- The Secretary-General welcomes the start of the Yemen peace talks today in Switzerland under the facilitation of his Special Envoy, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
Switzerland, 15 December 2015- UN-sponsored consultations aimed at finding a durable settlement to the Yemen crisis started today in Switzerland.

The Special Envoy of the Secretary General for Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, voices sadness at the death of Dr. Abdel Karim Al-Iryani who died today in a hospital in Frankfurt.

The Secretary-General condemns the airstrikes by the Saudi-led Coalition that hit the Hayadeen Medical Hospital, run by Médecins Sans Frontières with support from UNICEF and the World Health Organization in Sa’dah governorate.
