UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, visited today the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and the Deputy National Security Advisor, Sheikh Khaled bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa.
The discussions focused on the latest developments in Yemen and the wider region. The meeting also addressed Bahrain’s upcoming role as a member of the UN Security Council.
The Special Envoy welcomed Bahrain’s engagement and exchanged views on the importance of sustained regional and international coordination in support of UN-led mediation efforts.
