The Special Envoy is making good progress towards the production of a framework for negotiations as promised in his briefing to the UN Security Council in April. He plans to put that to the council in the first half of June.

Amman 21 June 2018 - I will continue my consultations with all parties to avoid further military escalation in Hudaydah, which I fear would have severe political and humanitarian consequences.
“Events on the battlefield” are the main spoiler to the peace process in Yemen, but political negotiations are the top overall priority for resolving the conflict, according to the UN’s envoy for the country, speaking exclusively to UN News.

Last Security briefing of Special Envoy Ismail Ould Cheick Ahmad. "We were about to reach agreement on a peace proposal, developed in consultation with the parties, but they refused to sign in the last minute".
