Ammam, 28 October 2026 - The UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, concluded a visit to Moscow, where he met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov and other senior diplomats to discuss developments in Yemen and prospects for a political settlement.
The discussions addressed the impact of the ongoing escalation on efforts to advance a political process under UN auspices. Grundberg emphasised that coordinated regional and international support is indispensable to achieving a comprehensive settlement of the Yemeni conflict and contributing to stability in the region.
