The International Contact Group for Somalia held, under the auspices of the European Union/European Commission, a preparatory meeting in Brussels on 29 October 2009. The SRSG led a delegation from UNPOS to the meeting. Also in attendance was the Prime Minister of Somalia, who led a high-level delegation which included cabinet ministers. The preparatory meeting covered a cross-section of issues which included: political, security and justice and reconciliation issues.
