Mogadishu, 23 March 2012 – UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Somalia, Augustine Mahiga, expressed today his profound sadness over the death of Mr. Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, the former President of Somalia. "On behalf of the United Nations, I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family and friends, the Transitional Federal Government and to the people of Somalia over the passing away of Mr. Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed" said SRSG Mahiga.
