Amman, 25 October 2017 - The United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed concluded today a four-day visit to Riyadh where he met with Senior Yemeni and Saudi officials.
The parties to the conflict in Yemen are pursuing a futile and cruel military conflict, which is eroding the path to peace. At the same time, the people of Yemen are suffering from an entirely man-made humanitarian catastrophe.
The situation in Yemen remains extremely grave. The intensity of the conflict increases day after day and the tragic humanitarian situation continues to worsen.
Sana’a - The United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed concluded today a three-day visit to Sana’a where he met with political leaders from Ansar’Allah and the General People’s Congress and Representatives of other political parties.
The United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed briefed the Security Council members today on the situation in Yemen and the efforts to continue negotiations on the peace process at a closed-door meeting.
