Amman, 22 October 2022 - I condemn the aerial attack claimed by Ansar Allah yesterday, 21 October, against the vessel at Al-Dubba oil terminal in Hadramawt governorate. This is a deeply worrying military escalation.

At this critical juncture, I call on the parties to show utmost restraint and double their efforts to renew and expand the truce and lay the groundwork for a permanent ceasefire, and activating a political process to end the conflict.

I reiterate that all parties must abide by their obligations under international humanitarian law to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
