23 Feb 2019 - The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, stressed the importance for the parties in Yemen to immediately start implementing phase one of the redeployments in Hudayda. In an interview with Al-Arabiya’s Diplomatic Avenue, he mentioned that “the two parties sat down for two days with general Michael Lollesgaard and they agreed on these redeployments. We are still looking for that process to start. -

The Committee includes representatives of the Government of Yemen and Ansar Allah, and is co-chaired by the Office of the Special Envoy and the International Committee of the Red Cross. -

28 Jan 2019 - The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, mentioned that there is a political will now more than ever to end the conflict in Yemen. He added, in an interview with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, that “ we are all on the same page that the way to do this is through the negotiations’ table, and not the battlefield. After four years of war, I think the political leadership of the two parties is convinced that war will not resolve this conflict. -
