In response to questions on Yemen, the Spokesman had the following to say:

Amman, 27 April 2020 - The UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, is concerned by the 25 April declaration by the Southern Transitional Council (STC).
I would like to extend my best wishes to everyone in Yemen, at the start of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Mr. President, Thank you very much indeed for giving me the opportunity to brief this Council.
11 April 2020 - On 23 March, the Secretary-General launched an appeal for an immediate Global Ceasefire, urging all warring parties to pull back from hostilities, put aside mistrust and animosity, and silence their guns.

The Members of the Security Council endorsed the Secretary-General’s call of 25 March for those fighting in Yemen to immediately cease hostilities, focus on reaching a negotiated political settlement, and to do everything possible to counter an outbreak of COVID-19.

Amman, 8 April 2019 - The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, welcomes the announcement by the Joint Forces Command of a two-week unilateral ceasefire covering all ground, maritime and air operations in Yemen starting 9 April.
