13 Apr 2022 - Amman, 13 April 2022 – The UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, concluded today a three day visit to Sana’a. He met with senior political officials in Sana’a to discuss the ongoing implementation of the different elements of the two-month truce in Yemen, as well as ways to strengthen, renew and consolidate the truce. -

He further stresses the importance of building on the agreement to restore some trust between the warring parties and resume a political process aimed at ending the conflict. -

THE SECRETARY-GENERAL -- REMARKS TO THE MEDIA ON A NATIONWIDE TRUCE IN YEMEN, New York, 1 April 202202 Apr 2022 - I commend the Government of Yemen, the Saudi-led Coalition and the Houthis for agreeing on a two-month truce in Yemen, including cross-border attacks. I urge all parties to make the necessary arrangements to support the successful implementation of the truce, and to operationalize cooperation mechanisms without delay. -
