24 Jan 2025 - Amman, 24 January 2025 - A three-day meeting between the Office of the Special Envoy for Yemen and representatives from the Joint Forces Command in the Military Coordination Committee (MCC) took place from 21 and 23 January in Amman to discuss different aspects of planning needed to achieve and sustain a ceasefire.

13 Jan 2025 - Amman, 13 January 2025 - UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg concluded today a visit to Iran’s capital Tehran, during which the resumption of a Yemeni-owned political process under the auspices of the United Nations was in focus. In Tehran, the Envoy met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and other senior Iranian officials. -

27 Dec 2024 - The Secretary-General is gravely concerned about intensified escalation in Yemen and Israel. Israeli airstrikes today on Sana’a International Airport, the Red Sea ports and power stations in Yemen are especially alarming. The airstrikes reportedly resulted in numerous casualties including at least three killed and dozens more injured.
