31 March 2021 - Over the years, the Sultanate of Oman has played an important role in building bridges for peace in the region, including in Yemen.  

The Members of the Security Council condemned the escalation in Marib, which places one million internally-displaced persons at grave risk and threatens efforts to secure a political settlement when the international community is increasingly united to end the conflict.

Representatives of a recently-formed bloc of women members of political parties (Takattul al Nisaa al Hizbiyat) met on 28 February with the head of the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen in Aden Marwan Ali.
