In his briefing to the Security Council, the UN Special Envoy, Hans Grundberg, said that progress was being made until recently including securing commitments in late December 2023 by the parties to the conflict to a nationwide ceasefire, measures to improve living conditions, and restarting an intra-Yemeni political process, and to working with his office to operationalize these commitments through a UN roadmap agreement.
