Martin Griffiths, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, briefed the Security Council about the situation in the country and the progress of the ongoing negotiations on a Joint Declaration that aims to reach agreements about a nationwide ceasefire, humanitarian and economic measures and the resumption of the political process.
