On 24 June, Special Envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed and OCHA Operations Director John Ging briefed Council members in consultations following the conclusion of the Geneva talks. The next day, Council members issued a press statement taking note of the ‘principles’ for advancing UN-brokered consultations, and again endorsing the Secretary-General’s call for humanitarian pauses.
